Al-Khabir – The All-Aware

”And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware.” 67:14Allah’s  knowledge is profound and comprehensive. He has the knowledge and the  understanding of the Creator, the Maker. “Whether you speak in secret or  aloud, He knows your inmost thoughts. Shall He who has created all  things not know, them all? And He is the All-subtle, the  All-aware.”67:13-14. “And Allah is aware of the things you do.” -3:153
~Whatever sins one may commit, one will be  answerable to Allah for them even if Allah is the only witness. He has  no need of other evidence. Al-Latif – The Subtle

~”Allah is benign to His servants.” -42:19~Allah  is gentle to people. He looks after them though they may not be away of  it.  “Allah is benign to His servants, providing for whoever He will.”  -42:19~This is the Name to call when one is in hardship, asking for Allah’s gentleness and subtle intervention.
‎~’Al-Latif’  also means ‘the All-Subtle.’ Sometimes Allah’s kindness comes in subtle  ways; ways people may not discern. He may turn an anticipated calamity  into a less harmful incident or even into a blessing. Al- Adl- The Just

~”Surely Allah enjoins justice and the doing of good” 16:90~  Allah is just in all His doings. He gives to each what he deserves and  puts everything in its proper position. “Surely Allah shall not wrong  anyone by so much as the wieght of an ant.”4:40.
Yet, to believe that Allah is the Just in spite  of the grave injustices, perpetrated by human beings, which go  unpunished in this world, is to truly believe in the Unseen. It is a  test of faith; because when ultimate justice is fulfilled, i…t  will be past the time of belief or disbelief- it will be the Day of  Judgement:”We shall set up just balances on the Resurrection Day, so  that not one soul shall be wronged in anything; even if it be by the  weight of one grain of mustard-seed Our Reckoning shall suffice.”21:47

Al- Adl- The Just

Al-Hakam – The Judge

~”His is the Judgement, and to Him you shall all return.” 28:88~Allah  is the Judge whose judgment is implemented and cannot be nullified.  “Allah judges; none can reverse His judgment; He is swift in His  reckoning” 13:41. Though things may sometimes seem out of control,  believers must trust Allah’s judgment. “And be patient until Allah shall  judge; and He is the best of judges.” 10:109
~Allah’s judgment prevails in this life and in  the hereafter. What passes unsettled here will be justly dealt with on  the Day of Judgment (hence the name). “Then they are restored to Allah  their true Protector. Surely His is the judgment; …He is the swiftest of reckoners.” 6:62~The  law given to us by Allah must not be altered or replaced: “What, shall I  seek out any judge but Allah? Al-Basir – The All-seeing

~”And He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.” -42:2~Allah  sees everything everywhere all the time. If we are always aware of  that, we will be too shy to act foolishly or to commit sins. “Did he not  know that Allah sees?” -96:14. “Surely Allah sees His servants” -40:44.

Al-Sami – The All-hearing

~“Truly, Allah is All-hearing, All-seeing.” -31:28~Allah  hears everything, nothing escapes His divine hearing, and no call  prevents Him from hearing other calls. “Surely I shall be with you,  hearing and seeing.” -20:46
‎~Whether  we speak loudly or quietly makes no difference to Allah. Some Muslims  were journeying with the Prophet, peace be upon him, and they were  praising Allah aloud. Then the Prophet (pbuh) said to them, “Quietly,  for you are not calling… someone deaf or absent; He is All-hearing, Close. The One you call is  closer to each of you than the neck of his camel.” –Al-Bukhari, Muslim~Allah  knows not only our secrets, but also what we try to conceal in our  hearts. “You have no need to speak aloud; for He knows all that is  secret and all that is hidden.” -20:7~When we speak of Allah  hearing and seeing, we do not imply that Allah has organs like those  needed by human beings for cognitive functions. Al-Mudhill – The Humiliator
~“And You humiliate whom You will.” -3:26~Allah  humiliates those who disbelieve in or disobey Him. “Surely those who  oppose Allah and His Messenger are amongst the most abject” -58:20. “So  Allah lays His scourge upon the unbelievers.” -6:125…~Humiliation  may be theirs in this life. Al-Mudhill – The Humiliator

Al-Mu’izz–The Honorer

~You exalt whom you will-3:26~Allah  is ‘Aziz, Possessor of Glory, and Mu’iz, Giver of Glory. He gives glory  to His obedient and loving servants. Glory, in the Islamic concept is  not merely material power. It’s the greatness of the soul that lives  competently in this world, yet with its ultimate goal the Hereafter. “I  will set your followers above the unbelievers till the Resurrection  Day.”-3:55

Al-Rafi -The Exalter

~“Allah will raise up in rank those of you who believe.” -58:11~Honor  in the Kingdom of Allah comes with merit. There, rank is related to  one’s response to his Lord, and that depends on faith and knowledge, -  true knowledge and insight. “Allah will raise up in rank those of you  who believe and have been given knowledge.” -58:11~True exaltation comes with spiritual enlightenment. “Some there are to whom Allah spoke, and some He raised in rank.” -2:253
‎~Prophethood  is the highest position possible for mortals. “Such was Our argument,  with which We furnished Abraham against his people. We raise up in  degrees whom We will” -6:83. And Allah says to Muhammad, peace be upon  him,: “Did We not …give  you high renown?” -94:4. Also, He says about Prophet Idris, peace be  upon him, “He was a true man, a prophet. Al-Khafid – The Abaser

~”Then We shall reduce him to the lowest of the low.” -95:5~Honor  or abasement in this life are not final. Allah may raise people and  abase others in order to put everyone to the test. “As for man, whenever  his Lord tries him by honoring him, and blessing him, he says, ‘My Lord  has honored me.’ But when He tries him by grudging hi His favors, he  says, ‘My Lord has despised me.’” -89:15-16

Al-Khafid – The Abaser



~”Then We shall reduce him to the lowest of the low.” -95:5

~Honor or abasement in this life are not final. Allah may raise people and abase others in order to put everyone to the test. “As for man, whenever his Lord tries him by honoring him, and blessing him, he says, ‘My Lord has honored me.’ But when He tries him by grudging hi His favors, he says, ‘My Lord has despised me.’” -89:15-16
